Bortman consults and manages product launches and post-launch manufacturing/operations for D-Terra Solutions (Formerly NPI) clients. He leverages an industrial and systems engineering degree, extensive automotive industry and consumer product experience to oversee all technical, business, and financial aspects for several major accounts (>$40M), ensuring that cost, quality/test, and delivery expectations are achieved. He has extensive experience and knowledge in Cost Reduction, Operations, Lean Manufacturing, Product Development, Quality Systems, Kaizen, Six Sigma, Design Review, Engineering Changes, Inventory, and Supply Chain Management.

Bortman lived internationally for 2 years in Japan where he worked in R&D and received design patents for his work. He has audited and developed suppliers, launched over 20+ product lines, and implemented Quality Systems (QS, TS, ISO) which have led to various quality awards.
