The Opportunity
TimberTech is a leading manufacturer of state-of-the-art composite decking, railing and lighting products. Its revolutionary, patented alternative deck material provides a non-skid, splinter-free surface that never requires staining, sealing or painting. Timbertech asked D-Terra to design deck assembly parts for its most sought-after railing product. The new bracketing system had to include no visible hardware, be flexible for a variety of configures and also be easy to install.
To satisfy all of TimberTech’s Comprehensive True Cost of Ownership (TCO) requirements, the company needed an assured supply chain solution, guaranteed performance against field failures, and product consistent with the brand’s low cost of maintenance and 25 year warranty policy.

D-Terra developed a Radiance Rail bracketing system that is easy to install. Because the manufacturing of bracketing fell outside Timbertech’s core competence, D-Terra became the single source for development, launch, and manufacture of the Radiance Rail bracketing and installation system.
