Supply Chain Manager
Jim Liu joined D-Terra in December of 2014 when NPI was acquired. Jim leads D-Terra’s China sourcing and supply chain operations to ensure that D-Terra meets and exceeds clients’ expectations.
Jim has over 20 years of experience in supply chain and logistics operations and previously held various supply chain management positions at: Caterpillar, Honeywell and True Innovations. At Caterpillar, Jim led part localization projects to realize aggressive cost reduction goals. At Honeywell, Jim led the overseas materials procurement, sourcing and materials management while successfully reducing DOS (Days of Supply) from 80 days to 65 days. At True Innovations, Jim played an active role in cost accounting management and supply chain management to reduce cost which helped the company’s business grow from $100 million to $300 million.
Jim holds a Bachelor’s Degree in Aircraft Structure Design from Northwestern Polytechnic University and MBA degree from the University of Electronic Science and Technology of China.
